The Farmhouse at Redcoats is set in a beautiful 15th century farmhouse and gardens nestled in the north Hertfordshire countryside. Sherwin Jacobs heads the kitchen and promises to deliver an experience you will not forget specialising in quality, fresh, local produce. Private dinning is available in the charismatic main house rooms. Please call us directly to book an afternoon tea, 24 hour notice is needed.

In the Farmhouse we have private dining options for parties up to 8, 12 and 16 people. Two with inglenook fireplaces perfect for family lunches, celebrations and festive gatherings. We also have meeting facilities available in some of the rooms, please give us a call to discuss. Across the courtyard we host much larger functions and weddings.

Always love coming here. Had a fabulous meal with my mother. We shared a starter and then had a roast each. Couldn’t eat a pudding. So goes to show tje portions are good. Service was excellent. Always a pleasure to go here. And the price is reasonable too. Thanks.

The staff are always very professional, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food choice is excellent even for vegan and vegetarians. Presented well and delicious. All in beautiful surroundings. Please kee p doing what you do so well.

Fantastic menu and the food was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly. Atmosphere was lovely with background music until a diner asked for it be turned down, I guess there is always one who moans. We always celebrate Valentine’s Day with lunch or dinner here as it’s a special venue for us. We got married here. Thoroughly recommend The Farmhouse at Redcoats. Clare Wright

The food was outstanding, staff attentive , pleasant and professional. My very elderly Mum was with us for a birthday treat which she thoroughly enjoyed. It was just a little noisy for her as she is hard of hearing so should have requested a quiet corner table but otherwise a fabulous afternoon for all!

Visited for my husband’s birthday. The food was outstanding! Michelin standard!! Best oysters I’ve ever had, lemon sole to die for and the dishes the rest of my party had were sublime! Love the cosy relaxed decor, service staff were fantastic and Anita front of house was amazing. My only negative was it was a busy Saturday evening and the restaurant was quite loud. But overall, nothing short of perfect x

Great value and interesting (but tasty) food choices on the menu this evening - it is a well thought out menu. I thought it was freah and cleverly crafted. The staff was very attentive and helpful, from the moment you arrive to confirm your reservation to checking out. They allowed us to bring our own cake for tonight’s double birthday celebration which is a plus. I highly recommend this place. It was a great first impression and I am certainly coming back for our next visit in the area.

We had anniversary lunch which was fantastic!! Greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbly, which was lovely!!! Food was presented very well and tasted divine !! Staff fantastic and service was excellent!! Had a great young lady serving us who was so polite and lovely!! Gave us a great tip on the wine which was delicious!!! Definitely be back xx
