We are pleased to be recognised as a family run pub with attentive friendly staff, something that repeatedly comes up on our reviews. Our aim is to provide good quality freshly produced food and at reasonable prices.

We are delighted our customers love the warm welcoming ambience of the pub and enjoy the traditional and slightly quirky decor.

The Farmer’s Sunday lunch always offers a choice of three meats, fresh vegetables and goose fat roast potatoes. We also offer a homemade vegetarian option and can cater for gluten free and other requirements, just ask us.

Came here for lunch with my father. Both had the fish and chips. Beautifully cooked, really light batter and very generous portions. Service was quick and friendly. Fairly quiet atmosphere being lunch time but was a lovely pub.

The staff are super attentive and make sure all your needs are met! The Sunday Roast is excellent and there are no half portions with dessert. Lovely garden outside to have a drink after lunch and kids play area also if that's what you're into!

We went with friends and we all said it was the best roast we have had in a very long time. You couldn’t fault the service either, everyone was polite, happy and friendly.

My first time to The Farmers on recommendation. I found the food really great. I wasn't so keen on the atmosphere and setting. We were in the front room which is very large and it felt like a canteen and not very special at all. The layout of tables and furniture needs to be made cosier. Need an extra choice for Sunday Roast.

Fantastic friendly service. We arrived very early and staff were only too happy to change our booking and seat us earlier. Food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The venue itself was lovely and I would highly recommend. If I ever visit this part of the country again, I hope I get to return.

Had the mixed mushrooms on toast for an appetizer and that was very good, give that 5 stars. Main course of steak pie and chips which was good, however the bourbon burger was dry and tasteless., overall quite good basic pub grub staff however very friendly. Would try again just not a burger !

My husband and I took our 18 year old granddaughter on Sunday evening for supper at 5.30. On arrival we were told there were only "2 roasts dinners" left if we were wanting those. My husband and I then decided to order scampi but when we placed our order the waitress said there was no scampi left either and should have told us. So we both decided to have the prawn curry. We did not expect tempura battered prawns as a curry. No poppadoms were served and when we asked for mango chutney we were told there was none of that either! Our granddaughter was pleased with her burger thankfully. My husband's fruit crumble was warm certainly not hot. Having not been to The Farmers for quite a long time we were disappointed with our meal.
