Freehand LA’s full service restaurant, The Exchange, pays homage to the 12-story vintage blade sign (the largest in LA) under which its entrance proudly sits. The restaurant is led by Chef Narita Santos and her team. The focal point on Southern California's seasonal abundance of local produce, fresh seafood and choice meats beautifully highlights the multi-cultural flavors of urban LA. We accompany our menu by a natural wine selection. Private dining options are available. Please contact us for more details.

Poor service / very slow. Restaurant was not busy and even still it would take 20 minutes for waitress check on us

Great place with amazing food, service was good but it was a slow night. Felt like I had to keep flagging down someone for service. Service used to be top notch. Food is still good!

We had a very attentive waiter. There were 4 of us and we shared multiple small plates-all were delicious.

What a gem! We started at the rooftop, where the ambiance was exotic and the drinks delicious. We continued with dinner at The Exchange and this made for a perfect and unforgettable night. We had the Caesar, the hummus, the steak and the salmon. The food was super tasty and the flavours exquisite. The service by Chris and Angel was top notch. We can’t wait to be back again and again!

I have enjoyed going to this restaurant over the years and in the last year of so the service has really slowed down. On my last visit, we sat for 1.5 hours and I still not get my food. The quality of the food is good, but the kitchen needs to get organized

I dined at The Exchange for the first time with my partner and we were very impressed with the friendly service and warm ambiance of this restaurant. It is spacious with high ceilings and the food was delicious overall. From unique small food plates to a select offering of main entrees. The grilled Caesar salad was the only item we did not particularly enjoy...for the only reason of the grilled lettuce head being too tough to slice through...the seasoning was amazing though from the leaves that we could get to. All in all, a really nice place to sit and have a conversation whether at the warm and inviting bar or while dining.

Everything was great! The lentil soup, cauliflower, lamb pita, tuna sandwich, fries, churros! Simple but elevated with quality ingredients and delicious! Service and ambiance were on par!
