Everything at The Establishment begins with well-sourced ingredients from sea and field. Through developing relationships with local farmers and fishermen, our ingredients will be consistently seasonal, fresh, and pure. Chef Elliott Howells' menu will always reflect a clean, focused, and balanced approach, delivering a selection of thoughtful and refined cuisine.

Located in Charleston’s historic French Quarter a few blocks away from Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, and Waterfront Park, The Establishment features an award-winning wine cellar, over 150 bourbon and whiskey offerings, and a lively bar scene complete with daily happy hour. We feature Live Music every Friday and Saturday starting at 8:00 PM, featuring multiple local artists performing an array of musical genres. Our private dining rooms are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, or business meetings. We look forward to hosting you for a casual night out or an elevated dining experience.

The Establishment is hosting a six-course wine dinner Thursday October 10th, 2024. Dinner begins at 6pm and will feature Executive Chef Elliott Howells' innovative cuisine paired with Pinot Noir from around the world. This dinner will traverse a global culinary landscape while highlighting the versatility of the Pinot grape itself. Greeting hors d'oeuvres will commence at 6pm with a full sit-down dinner at 630. Space is limited so please book quickly! You may book through OpenTable, The Establishment website, or call us at 843 789 4028. Tickets are $150 per person. All ticket prices include taxes and gratuity. Sorry, no menu substitutions / adjustments for this experience. Cancellations will be honored until 12pm October 3rd, 2024. Cheers!

After a long weekend in NYC during which we had some good but not exceptional meals out, we headed to the Establishment in our hometown and found that exceptional meal we were craving. The newly added to the menu raviolo was buttery and delicious. The whole fish was perfectly prepared and possibly the best whole fish entree I've ever had. Pot d'creme dessert was perfect. Every server with whom we interacted was professional, knowledgeable and helpful -- especially our lead server, Derrick. The atmosphere was lively without being loud. Overall one of the best dining experiences I can remember.

An enjoyable evening with friends. Attentive service in a comfortable dining room. The noise level was louder due to a large party seated nearby. Our gnudi and raviolo appetizers were very good and shareable for 2-3. The pork chop was well prepared, moist and flavorful, with a tasty sautéed kale-wild mushroom side. The halibut with its sweet potato-acorn squash side was tasty though the pork chop was the better value. Overall, a 5-star evening.

My new favor restaurant! The service was impeccable and the food was fabulous. We started with the Chicken Liver Mousse, which was out of this world! We also had the Roasted Oysters which were very good. I had the Grouper which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Halibut which was also excellent. We finished with dessert which was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

10/10, the food was amazing! from appetizers to dinner to dessert, everything was soo good! Best meal we had in Charleston. Highly recommend the gnudi and baked oysters

We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at The Establishment! Food was great, and service was outstanding (thank you Henry!). The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for & did not disappoint! Live music was a plus.

Our second visit and it did not disappoint! Food and service exceeded expectations. Our server was extremely accommodating to one vegetarian and one gluten allergy. The delicious cocktails and live music put our experience over the top!
