Everything at The Establishment begins with well-sourced ingredients from sea and field. Through developing relationships with local farmers and fishermen, our ingredients will be consistently seasonal, fresh, and pure. Chef Elliott Howells' menu will always reflect a clean, focused, and balanced approach, delivering a selection of thoughtful and refined cuisine.

Located in Charleston’s historic French Quarter a few blocks away from Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, and Waterfront Park, The Establishment features an award-winning wine cellar, over 150 bourbon and whiskey offerings, and a lively bar scene complete with daily happy hour. We feature Live Music every Friday and Saturday starting at 8:00 PM, featuring multiple local artists performing an array of musical genres. Our private dining rooms are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, or business meetings. We look forward to hosting you for a casual night out or an elevated dining experience.

We had a fabulous time. Food, service, ambiance, and vibe were all excellent. Planning for our next visit. Surely one of the Top Five restaurants in Charleston (or anywhere)!

Awesome experience. Hostess came out to ensure my car was parked appropriately. We were celebrating an anniversary, and they all seemed to know; Adam, our waiter, brought us some bubbly to start the evening. We ordered oysters (fresh, tasty), bread service, charred broccolini and the whole fish (snapper), Thai-inspired with 3 tasty sauces. Outstanding dessert: coffee ice cream with chocolate chips. Nice live music in the background. We’ll happily go back. Tip: allow 10 min to get to the restaurant from the city parking lot

Food was excellent as was the service. Provided us with a desert and complimentary sparkling wine for our anniversary that we celebrated that night. Overall was a top notch experience.

Our go to place for a night out.. we all had different entrees and they were delicious. The whole fish was especially tasty and the presentation was great.

My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Establishment! Everything was excellent but stars were Nathan and Corey, the bar keeps extraordinaire! Nathan concocted a Vieux Carre’ for the very first time. Which was so wonderful it required a second with Amaro. We are definitely returning!
