Everything at The Establishment begins with well-sourced ingredients from sea and field. Through developing relationships with local farmers and fishermen, our ingredients will be consistently seasonal, fresh, and pure. Chef Elliott Howells' menu will always reflect a clean, focused, and balanced approach, delivering a selection of thoughtful and refined cuisine.

Located in Charleston’s historic French Quarter a few blocks away from Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, and Waterfront Park, The Establishment features an award-winning wine cellar, over 150 bourbon and whiskey offerings, and a lively bar scene complete with daily happy hour. We feature Live Music every Friday and Saturday starting at 8:00 PM, featuring multiple local artists performing an array of musical genres. Our private dining rooms are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, or business meetings. We look forward to hosting you for a casual night out or an elevated dining experience.

The Establishment is hosting a six-course wine dinner Thursday October 10th, 2024. Dinner begins at 6pm and will feature Executive Chef Elliott Howells' innovative cuisine paired with Pinot Noir from around the world. This dinner will traverse a global culinary landscape while highlighting the versatility of the Pinot grape itself. Greeting hors d'oeuvres will commence at 6pm with a full sit-down dinner at 630. Space is limited so please book quickly! You may book through OpenTable, The Establishment website, or call us at 843 789 4028. Tickets are $150 per person. All ticket prices include taxes and gratuity. Sorry, no menu substitutions / adjustments for this experience. Cancellations will be honored until 12pm October 3rd, 2024. Cheers!

The absolute best dinner and experience for our anniversary! Our first time dining and we will definitely be back. Everyone made our anniversary special. Our server was the BEST — knowledgeable, personable, timely, etc. and the food and dessert were some of the best we’ve had. We’ve lived here almost 4 years and have dined at a lot of places and this by far was one of the best experiences we’ve had. Ambiance is perfect, chefs counter is such a cool setup. Highly recommend!

WE(3) HAD A 7:15 RESERVATION. WE ARRIVED ON TIME WE WERE TAKEN TO WHAT APPEARED TO BE A "HOLDING AREA" NEAR THE MAIN DINING ROOM; SEVERAL MINUTES LATER SOMEONE ASKED US "WHAT" WE WERE DOING THERE-WE EXPLAINED THAT WE WERE PLACED THERE AND TOLD TO WAIT. WE WERE TOLD TO WAIT AT THE HOSTESS AREA. THEN WE WERE TAKEN TO A TABLE NEXT TO THE PIANO/GUITAR PLAYER. WE TOLD THEM WE MADE A RESERVATION FOR THE MAIN DINING ROOM AND "NOT" THE MUSIC AREA....WE WERE RESEATED. SERVICE WAS EXTREMELY SLOW.....WE "EVENTUALLY "ORDER DRINKS........WE "EVENTUALLY' WERE ASKED ABOUT OUR MEAL ORDER.........AFTER SOME ADO, OUT WAITER INFORMED US THAT THE MAITAKE MUSHROOM "TASTE" ORDER WAS NOT AVAILABLE.........TWO OF THE ENTREE'S WERE FINE(FISH, ROASTED EGGPLANT)....I TRIED THE STEAK..........WITH A 30.00 ADDITIONS OF TRUFFLES ON TOP......THE STEAK WAS FAIR.......THERE WAS NO TASTE OF TRUFFLES(OBVIOUSLY)..WHO EVER HEARD ON COOKING THE TRUFFLES ON THE STEAK AS OPPOSED TO PLACING THE SHAVINGS ON THE STEAK AFTER IT HAD BE GRILLED-NEEDLESS TO SAY, THERE WAS NO TASTE NOR FRAGRANCE OF TRUFFLES(I KNOW TRUFFLES AND USE THEM AT HOME)........NOT GOOD........THE WAITSTAFF WERE GREAT(APOLOGETIC FOR THE SNAFU'S)........

Starters were amazing—Wagyu tartare and Gnudi. They were quite large, we shared them both but since they were both so rich it was tough to fit in dinner. My husband got the whole fish which was beautiful! My grouper was a bit overdone.

Absolutely fantastic experience start to finish. The reception area was great. Warmly welcomed and well organized. We had cocktails at the beautiful bar before dinner. Our table was perfect. The selections of the food was amazing and unique. We are definitely returning! Please tell “Shane that Dorothy and Tom” highly recommended you!!!

The Establishment is a great place for awesome food and cocktails. We had the best Martinis best service from Mike and the Grouper and Halibut fish was moist tender and delicious. Low lighting and romantic buildout add to the ambiance.

Very good food selections. Main course (Grouper) was not fresh and hot. Service was good not great. Everything should have been elevated given the price.
