The Eskdale is located in the heart of the majestic North York Moors National Park on the banks of the river Esk, a great northern trout and salmon river. Established in 1865 as The Station Hotel it has been in continues use as a public house since then.

We had a lovely Sunday Lunch in this gorgeous setting, and the staff were lovely as always.

We enjoyed a genuinely warm welcome to this lovely country pub with a fantastic menu from staff who were friendly & attentive. The food was delicious from starter to dessert, with every dish being an appetising choice. Hv already thoroughly recommended to friends & family - we’ll definitely be back.

We had the most lovely evening. The staff went above and beyond to make my partners dads 60th a lovely occasion. I cannot thank them enough for such going the extra mile for us. The food was absolutely delicious everyone in our party said it was one of the nicest meals they’d had. We hope to come back again soon to sample more of the menu. Thank you again for everything !

Another excellent visit to the Eskdale. The menu is well conceived with some interesting twists but these do not detract from the really good produce. Our only 'niggle' was that our food could have been warmer. The service was outstanding and the value for money for this standard of cooking was really good. Thoroughly recommended

The food was delicious and service was warm and friendly The only thing that their is not enough lighting in the car park as I was on crutches and the ground a bit slippery and uneven found it difficult. Shame about this overall dining experience was great. Would recommend.

A wonderful experience! Gorgeous food and atmosphere. A big thank you for making the stew on the main course into a starter. Will definitely be planning a return visit.
