Good quality food - staff always very friendly and accommodating - dog friendly. Great area for walking/ hiking and this is a great pub in which to recover !!

Truly amazing food at a very reasonable price with a warm welcome. A lovely location, the restaurant is beautifully set out with some really nice touches. Lovely beer garden at the rear looking over the river Esk. We can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Brilliant meal in a lovely location. We had two starters, four mains and two deserts, everyone said their food was excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive. We will be returning.

Very welcoming. The landlord had a dog treat ready almost before we walked in the door. The service was very efficient,admittedly we were one of only four groups in there at the time, and the food was unusual and excellent - not the same as most other pubs in the area. Would go again if in the area,not something we say very often.

Another delicious meal. Starters: mussels and pigeon breast, mains: hake with risotto, dessert panna cotta, all beautifully cooked and presented. We will be back.

Lovely setting, with professional and courteous staff. Quality of food was excellent and at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit when visiting the North York Moors.

This was our second great meal at The Eskdale. Friendly, professional and great food. Goan mussels followed by hake and scallop with pea and broad bean risotto and a woodruff pannacotta with strawberry dessert. All excellent but the highlight was the risotto! We’ll be back.
