"The world drinks tea. Come have some with us today!" The English Tea Room and Eatery is one of the shops you don't expect to find on the short but interesting Lee Lane in Covington's walkable city core. The shop offers more than 260 choices of teas and serves fresh-baked scones with house-made clotted cream and house-made lemon curd along with all-day high tea [finger sandwiches, savories & chocolate covered strawberries] and many other English food items such as banger & mash, Coronation Chicken Salad, Scotch eggs, quiches, Shepherd's Pie, etc.

We are located on the corner of Rutland St. and N. Florida St. is just a block from the antique stores on Lee Lane and one block from the art galleries on Columbia. Off-street parking is available, wheelchair Lift and ample free parking on Florida St. and Rutland St and nearby Free Public Parking [Ox lot].

The tea room is always my favorite place to be!!! The service and atmosphere is unmatched. I have had multiple life celebrations here because I can’t get enough.

We love getting the Windsor High Tea. The English Tea Room is always a special outing for us since we can't go often. It is so nice to be in a place that promotes pretty decor and spending time with family and friends. Love it.

The vegetarian options were wonderful, but the service was beyond just slow. Can't recommend if you have plans afterward.

NEVER disappointed. Great place to bring friends to have quiet sit down visit. The food is always fresh and tasty and the tea is perfect. All of the wait staff is friendly and helpful. I will give 5 stars every time.

We went for my cousins annual birthday tea. We’ve been coming here for years. Tea was amazing and so were the manager and server. But the food was subpar, there were LOTS OF FLIES and there needs to be a fan in the Churchill room to move the air around because its summer, it’s all windows, it’s in the back and the air doesn’t circulate well back there. Overall it was good and fun. The flies were the worst though.

My grandchildren love The English Tea Room, and so do I. The staff is always wonderful. The atmosphere is whimsical. The food is good.

An absolute delightful experience! Maisy and Madison were exceptional, delicious food and the tea selections were amazing!!! My husband and I will make this a monthly date!

What a gem!! Such a fabulous place. The owners Jan and Tim make you feel so welcome!! Love the Coronation Chicken Salad. Don't miss coming here. Makes you feel like you are in England!
