The Empanada lady is a Hispanic and Women owned business known locally for selling traditional Puerto Rican Empanadas and a rotating selection of sides and seasonal drinks, such as Coquito and arroz con gandules. The delicious hand-crafted Empanadas (authentically called pastelillo) are a family staple recipe, passed down through generations. The empanada Lady offers something for everyone- from classic chicken empanadas, to vegan empanadas, and even apple empanadas for those of us with a sweet tooth. Don’t forget to pair your meal with our famous “Nada Cocktail”.

I am so glad Open Table suggested Empanada Lady. It was such an unexpected and delightful experience. The food and service were fantastic. I live in VA but I can assure you, I will be back in Baltimore to visit!!

Came here for Mothers Don’t EVER DO THAT. I had a reservation with the confirmation but when I get here they wasn’t prepared we had to wait another 10 mins to be seated as if they didn’t know about our reservation. The service was poor our waiter didn’t acknowledge us the food wasn’t cooked right. They’re understaffed the kitchen was slow 2hrs waiting for food. We had water on our table for 1hr and half before the appetizer was brought out. The manager then said she can’t take the food we didn’t eat off the receipt.

The empanadas were delicious and didn’t disappoint. I had the beef , chicken and apple and and was sitting there like a happy fat girl:) The street corn was delicious I just wish it was more. Im glad my calories didn’t go to waste.

Loved the vibes and the food! The staff was very chill, the owner even came over and greeted my girlfriend and I.

The vibe was amazing! Very clean classy establishment! I loved the fact that the owner was so attentive and vigilant about what was going on in her business.

We saw this restaurant featured on 11 News on Sunday morning and decided to take my 84 year old Puerto Rican father there for lunch that day. It was insanely loud with a DC playing music so loud that you couldn’t hear each other talk. It wasn’t even Spanish music. We looked at the menu and there really wasn’t much of anything on it. Sadly, we left so we did not get to taste the empanadas. This place is more of a bar experience. Definitely not a place for anyone over 40. At least that was what it was like on a Sunday afternoon. We will not be going back.

The service was top tier, and the food was excellent. The drink sizes were a little small. We will be back.
