Could not fault the food but a serving of mushy peas was in a condiment dish and only a teaspoonful. Mushy peas should not be served as a condiment. They seemed understaffed. One waitress said when I ordered the Macaroni and mushroom Alfredo that it was more like a macaroni cheese than an Alfredo. The waitress who served out had a miserable look on her face and couldn’t say ‘Alfredo’ so just said “ here’s the mushroom Al something, I can’t say it” very unprofessional. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked, but it was noisy and we waited a long time for service also waited a long time to pay after trying twice. I would go again for the food but the chef is being let down waiting staff who need training in what not to say.

Lovely menu and great tasty food. All the decor was tasteful. Will happily go again if in area.

Lovely stopover spacious room. Breakfast great pre-book on arrival good idea lots of selection. We had meal in restaurant which was lovely cooked fresh to order so there is a wait but well worth and not expensive. Lovely little pub which has won lots of awards and customer service is great even the chef came out to check everything ok and at breakfast. Would stay again and highly recommend.

We came back again after 3 months the Sunday lunch was really good. We both had the turkey came with roast potatoes and veg what can I say it was excellent cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and friendly excellent service 10 out of 10

Very good food, lovely pub and friendly staff. We went on a busy Saturday so the service was a bit slow but probably down to the volume of customers which goes to show its reputation for good food makes it a very popular venue I recommend it.

Food was delicious, the tikka and chickpea starter so good. Sausage and mash lovely. Definitely recommend

Our first visit and we were very impressed with the surroundings, the food and the service. The food was lovely, just enough on the menu with a good variety and not too expensive. Will be returning soon after a great experience.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast last Sunday lunchtime. The food was fresh, hot, tasty and plentiful. Extremely well cooked and presented. As always, service from the staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant was clean and bright with unobtrusive background music. (Only one small observation was that a few of the chairs need the upholstery shampooed, otherwise top notch surroundings) We always enjoy visiting this lovely venue.

The Elm Tree Inn is a little hidden gem. Well worth seeking out. Food is delicious and very well presented thanks to Chef Sachin and his professional team. Table service is excellent and the front of house staff friendly and efficient. Ten out of ten ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
