    Chef Dan wowed us again, this time with the Supreme of Pheasant and the Shrimp & Crab Curry. We began our meal with the light & delicious Duck Confit Eggroll, accompanied by a Strawberry Basil Old Fashioned and a Cherry Blossom Sour (Amazing!), before enjoying our main course. The pheasant was perfectly cooked with an exquisite rub and the curry was delightful with a hint of sweetness. We ended our evening with dessert, opting for the Cherry Creme Brûlée and the Limoncello Ricotta Cake. Both were delicious, especially the creme brûlée when paired with a glass of Tokaji. Thank you to the chef and his team for an excellent dining experience. We look forward to our next visit!

    One of the best meals I have eaten. It is not inexpensive but when you have a special occasion or want to treat someone special this is one of the best places to go. Staff is versed in the history of the Inn, friendly and professional. The chef (Daniel) came out and told us about the preparation of the Supreme Pheasant and it was delicious. The crab stuffed Morels were great and the crème brûlée was another excellent treat.

    Having heard about The Elkridge Furnace Inn for years and believing in supporting local businesses, we were disappointed in our experience. Most of the food was just OK, with the exception of the mushrooms and the scallops. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.

Honestly, as a restaurant owner, it is very challenging to go from guest reviews ranging from "best meal I've ever had" to "disappointing" all in the same week and to try to figure out what the difference is. With a 120 day average of 4.8 stars on Open Table, we like to think we are doing something right and yet, want to be responsive to guest concerns. Very specific feedback helps in that regard. We do regret your overall experience was disappointing. However, we are glad you enjoyed our mushrooms many of which we grow and forage as well at the scallops which are Chef's favorite.     The food was subpar and not worth the price. They do not have a lot of vegetarian options. Overpriced for the quality.

Honestly, as a restaurant owner, it is very challenging to go from guest reviews ranging from "subpar" to "best meal I've ever had" all in the same week and to try to figure out what the difference is. With a 120 day average of 4.8 stars on Open Table, we like to think we are doing something right and yet, want to be responsive to guest concerns. Very specific feedback helps in that regard. Since we farm an acre of the property here and pick fresh ingredients everyday in addition to other fresh and local sourcing, we can assure you our ingredients are as good as they come. We are not a vegetarian restaurant, but do pride ourselves that veggies are always front and center in our dishes.

    My guest and I enjoyed the experience. We were there at the opening, so really had the entire Dorsey Room to ourselves for a while, taking in the ambiance and decorative elements of the room (reminded us of Pride & Prejudice to Little Women). My guest thoroughly enjoyed her duck! My favourite part of the meal was the homemade salted hazelnut ice cream. The chef came by a couple times to check on us (very unexpected and appreciated, especially as I have a food allergy), and he even gave us a short history tour of some of the architecture and art in the building.

    We had a wonderful time for our anniversary dinner. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu as well as the history of the restaurant and the supporting organic farm. We had a nice chat with the chef as well. Soft shell crabs and crab cakes were both delicious.
