I made a reservation for dinner with friends last night, and while the atmosphere was nice and our server, Thomas, was fantastic, the kitchen experience was not. We ordered filets at $42 each, expecting them to be cooked as requested. I ordered mine medium well, it came out medium, and the rest of my friends asked for medium but got rare. My friend had to sent hers back because it was raw. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, she finally got her steak, only for it to be unevenly cooked—raw on one side—and had two men’s hairs in it. At that point, we had all finished eating, and she had to send it back again and not eat dinner.
It was disappointing to see that during our time there, two other tables also had to send food back, including a burger and another filet. For a restaurant charging $42 per steak, the kitchen needs to get these basics right. Although the team kindly comped two filets, and sent desserts in apology, the poor cooking and hygiene issues don’t make us want to return. Management, please give your kitchen the help it needs to match the standards set by your wonderful service team.
