Food, service and ambiance was outstanding. Our entire dining experience was wonderful. The Virginia hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas.

The food was very good, and the holiday decorations were tastefully executed. However, the overall service experience required significant improvement. While our primary server provided satisfactory service, the food runners exhibited a lack of professionalism and displayed a rudimentary manner of handling the plates and basically tossed them on the table. We had to initiate requests for pepper and water, which were delayed in their arrival. Additionally, the valet attendant was simultaneously stationed at the hotel front desk, resulting in a 15-minute wait for our vehicle. Due to these shortcomings, the overall dining experience was unfortunately overrated.

We chose The Ebbitt Room to celebrate Christmas! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We had the king salmon, the cioppino and the lamb shank. All 3 entrees were very flavorful and nicely plated. For dessert we shared the donuts and cinnamon ice cream. Both were enjoyable. The Ebbitt Room is one of Cape May’s finest restaurants!

I was celebrating my birthday and it was just perfect. The food, the decorations and the service were amazing. Even though the hostess was very rude and obnoxious, not sure why she is the first person your guests see. The rest of the night was great.

We had an 8pm reservation and weren’t seated until 8:35pm. Manager didn’t handle the delay n seating well and our server and wait staff wasn’t up to par. Multiple dishes didn’t come out on time and several dishes were wrong. We used to love this restaurant but won’t be back again. There are too many other great restaurants in the town.

We had a wonderful time although the management and staff was very concerned trying to turn tables the whole night for reservations. We were constantly being asked by staff if they could take our plates while we were eating. I felt rushed

This was our first time dining in Cape May and the Ebbitt Room did not disappoint. We ate on one of the coldest nights of the year but their outdoor patio was covered and heated so it wasn't terrible, however, it wasn't warm (thankfully we dressed appropriately). The food was very good and the server was very friendly. We would dine again in the future.

Our food was excellent. The service was excellent. The decor was very festive. Everyone was doing their best. But it was very crowded & noisy. It was hard to fully enjoy ourselves & relax & have a conversation.

We got the rib eye and NY strip steaks. Perfectly seasoned and tender. Calamari was excellent as well. Beautifully decorated for the holiday season and they had a pianist playing. It was a lovely place and delicious dinner.
