The lush and breezy waterfront atmosphere of The Easterly embraces the beauty of the simplistic and
laid-back Caribbean lifestyle. Tucked away in an oasis of palm trees and rich greenery, the restaurant
and bar take on a Bohemian-island vibe. The menu will be ocean-to-table focused, with ceviches, crudos,
octopus, shellfish & lobster, and whole grilled fish as mainstays. We also pride ourselves in our extensive
wood grilled steaks and chops. Locally grown produce and local flavors compliment the dishes, all cooked
over the kitchen’s wood-fired oven, adding distinct rustic flair to each plate. The Easterly offers one of the
Virgin Island’s most robust beverage programs with innovative craft cocktails, twists on Caribbean
favorites and an extensive list of craft beers and wine. The rustic island menu and outdoor locale promise
a social, vibrant and interactive dining experience in the heart of Red Hook on the East End of St.
Thomas.

We experienced having tuna and lobster when we love seafood, and the Virgin Island Caribbean flavor was amazing. We also had some. Scallops for appetizer. Our waiter was phenomenal and the only thing is they were kind of hovering around us a little bit too much.

Most of the food we ate was good. The grilled Octopus was not. It was overcooked and tough and chewy. Additionally, after our appetizer while waiting for our meal, they delivered another tables entire meal to our table. I cut into my dinner and my wife started hers and realized she ordered scallops, not shrimp, so we stopped and waited for our waiter. He took the food back to the kitchen and then delivered it to the table across from us. Cut steak and all. Rather bothered us but we are not sick and they never knew (we didn’t tell them anyway) OK so I guess the restaurant felt they would prefer this review rather than making new meals for them. Also, not that I mind the smell, but marijuana smell flowed through the Resteraunt our entire meal. I finally just called it an appetite enhancer and let it go. It was better than the diesel truck fumes from the road on the other side. The food can’t make up for the location. Too many fumes.

An elevated spot with perfect execution of minimalist but beachy island vibes. Amazing and simple shell walls feel like you are entering a big, modern sandcastle. The food was chef driven and delicious. Do not miss it if you are on St. Thomas.

Both the tuna and mahi dinners were outstanding. This place seems to get better each year. Service was spot on.

Food was top notch and staff was friendly. Scallops with orzo. Grilled octopus. Mussels. Brussels. Mushroom risotto. Ganache. All delicious.

Food was a mixed bag. Octopus not good at all. Brussel sprouts, seafood and polenta dish and desserts were all fantastic. Service was very good. There was a bit of street noise as the restaurant is open in the front and right on the main road. Overall very nice

Disappointed in The Easterly. We have dined here twice before and loved it. This time, we had slow service and the food was mediocre. I had the wahoo and the portion size was appetizer size. It was also oddly flavored and overcooked. The Tuna was also a small portion and not great. Great atmosphere and good drinks.
