We start with cage free, free roaming, all natural chicken. It’s brined, dredged, then dropped into custom-built fryers. Its got a little kick and is served with our house made hot honey.

Our reservation was at 5:15. We weren’t seated until 5:45 and our food didn’t get to us until 6:50. Our show at the Benedum was at 7. We scarfed down a few bites as fast as we could and had to leave. This is the 2nd time it has been a long wait despite having a reservation. Food is very good, but the service has often been terrible.

The food, our waiter and the ambience was great. The food took FOREVER to come out though - over an hour and a half for simple orders (salads, kids Mac and cheese and a chicken sandwich). We were going to a show at the benedum and we had to eat within 5 minutes because it took so long so we didn’t get to enjoy it.

Very good fried chicken, salads and spoonbread but expect to spend 1 1/2 hours. Kitchen can get backed up before busy show nights.

Food was decent. Not much on the menu. Seems they are more interested in selling drinks. Service was good but slow. I have had better mixed drinks,stick to beer. They are a bit pricey too..

The fried chicken was terrific. Service was inferior and the side came out cold. It is a shame, because it's one of the best places to eat downtown.

If you’re coming to the Eagle before you go see a show at the Benedum… DON’T! We had a reservation at 6pm prior to a show at 7:30pm. Our table wasn’t ready until 6:10pm so we had to stand around waiting. No big deal, we thought. We’ll just order the second we sit down. We put the food order in immediately at 6:10. The food did not arrive at our table until 7:10… an hour later. Half of the food was served in takeout containers as well? We were rushed and couldn’t even enjoy or finish our meal before we had to flag down the waiter and ask for our check so that we wouldn’t miss the show. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

This place is normally good. However this trip, it took over 45 minutes to get our food, which was only a grilled cheese and French fries. Fries were overcooked. Seemed to be very disheveled and not enough staff. Disappointing visit.

We stopped here before going to the Benedum. The food is okay, but it is painfully slow. It took almost an hour to get our food and we nearly missed our show.
