All round a good roast, would go back. Had to ask for more gravy, other than that it was good service.

We all had the Roast, being a Sunday that was the only option. All three of us returned our food as it was cold, plates served on were cold too. They took it away to heat it and whilst it was warmer it wasn't hot. Shame as food was nice.

A lovely venue for our monthly drinks and meal. Friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere, good beers and a varied food menu.

Six of us enjoyed lunch yesterday, the food was lovely, especially the seafood chowder and the mussels. Very good menu, we were spoilt for choice and they had a good selection of real ales. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We're hoping to go back for their Christmas lunch.

Menu looked ok, except at least 5 dishes were not available. I opted for mushroom pâté served with toast. I expected a portion of pate with toast and garnish on the side, I received pate spread on toast and no garnish, presentation definitely needs improving

We all realy enjoyed the meal at The Eagle & with so many dietary reqiurements the waitress & chef were excellent in accomodating everyone. A good meeting place thank you The Eagle

This is our go to restaurant for celebrations. Food was excellent but the waiting time for our food was extraordinary long (40 minutes) The restaurant wasn’t very busy and we had made an early booking at 6pm so I don’t understand why it took so long to get our food. Neither were we warned there’s a wait for the food. I have previously been in other restaurants where a light snack is offered if there’s a wait but nothing like that was given. Given this was a birthday celebration this was disappointing. Previously on birthday celebrations there was a complimentary drink for the person celebrating their birthday but this time nothing. Overall a bit of a disappointing evening. Has the management changed? It just felt different. We have been going here for years and had considerably quicker and more dedicated service.

We have previously enjoyed Sunday lunches at The Eagle and food & service wise did so yesterday. Why it didn’t get 5* was that we were disappointed that dogs are now allowed in the main dining room. We would not consider ourselves in anyway anti-dogs and have no issue with them in the bar area, but are not keen on eating our meal with a dog sitting at the end of the owner’s table asking for food.
