The Durham Ox est une auberge familiale traditionnelle de village qui vous offre un service amical et efficace; le menu met en vedette le meilleur des produits locaux, et propose une large gamme de vins et de bières en fût. Vous découvrirez un pub traditionnel reconnu dont le décor est composé d’un carrelage d’époque, de poutres apparentes, de boiseries en chêne et de feux rougissant en hiver. En complément du restaurant principal, le Durham Ox offre plusieurs espaces pour les dîners privés pour célébrer toute occasion et peut accueillir entre 10-85 invités pour un dîner formel ou informel. Pour ceux qui souhaitent passer la nuit, ils pourront bénéficier de cinq chalets convertis dans un cadre paisible et charmant. Le Studio Suite situé au-dessus du pub et d’un cottage indépendant en libre-service dans le village : Ivy Cottage, qui peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes.

Yet again a great meal. It is just far enough away for us not to be dangerous! We'll keep coming back as we can't fault the food and service here

We had lunch at the Durham Ox in celebration of my wife's birthday - the menu choice was very good and the food excellent., A lovely country pub.

We enjoyed our visit to this pub - the shared seafood platter to start and the Chateaubriand to share for the main - all perfectly cooked and presented well with excellent service. The only slight minor issue was that the table we were sat on was too small for the shared platter board and the beef main board to be placed on but this was something of nothing and easily resolved and didn’t impact the overall enjoyment of the evening. This pub seemed like a thriving place and was very busy which really speaks for itself - we would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others - we found it a very pleasant and relaxing evening and the staff were all very friendly.

Absolutely spot on! Stopped here years ago for a drink and wish I had returned sooner for delicious food. Only tried the set lunch menu but will save up and return to choose whatever I want from the fabulous looking menu!

It was good but I’ve had better there! We ordered chicken and they brought Pork to start with!? My lamb was good.

Am a regular visitor to the Ox. This was the best meal I can remember. Very enjoyable evening.

Always a great option for food in the Howardian Hills. The menu is varied and seasonal with plenty of variety for vegetarians and vegans. We always recommend to our guests staying at The Little Barn

The food was nice (not outstanding) but the service was slow. We ordered the chateaubriand medium but it was very well-done and we received it nearly an hour after ordering it. I also thought the portions of vegetables were small. My dessert was delivered without the ice cream it was supposed to come with and it was definitely a cake not a pudding as described!
