Booked Sunday lunch. When we arrived at 5pm we were informed that they had been extra busy and virtually run out of food. All they had to offer was very little choice.

Very enjoyable lunch, we had roast sirloin of beef and pork. The beef was tender and slightly pink as it should be, plenty of vegetables. We had mussels to start and they were cooked just right, not over cooked as most restaurants seem to do. Service was good and the staff cheerful and friendly. A very pleasant lunch, we have always liked the Dun Cow and under the new management it has given it a much needed boost.

The Dun Cow has one of the best locations on the North Norfolk Coast, it is one of my favourite places and regularly chosen for special meals. The latest visit was disappointing - the regular menu has a limited range of choices which has always been supplemented by a wide variety of wonderful specials for Starters, Mains and Desserts - the specials were sadly lacking, making the overall options rather restricted.

Having been coming here for several years this visit was a disappointment in that the menu choices were quite limited compared to the past, and gave the impression of having gone down market (two burgers for example). Nothing exciting in the somewhat limited Specials.

My wife and I were having a short mid-week break in a cottage Salthouse. The Dun Cow was a very convenient and pleasant place to eat. We went two days running in the early evening. On each occasion, we booked by phone via the website at short notice (6pm and 7.15pm). Menu and drinks variety was good, service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. Portion sizes were goid. There was a very pleasant atmosphere and many customers appeared to be regulars. Would certainly return again.

Lovely pub. Been saying we'll go for a long time. We was disappointed, as it is a lovely place, with friendly. Polite staff.
