After a stunning refurbishment there will be no huge surprise for existing Duck guests as Jeremy and Rachael continue to fly the flag for local suppliers and seasonal menus. Sourcing the best seafood available from Cromer to Wells-next-the-Sea and free range meats from local farmers and butchers.

Coming soon will be our garden menu perfect for those popping in without booking and now the weather is kinder our garden and garden lounge is ideal for some informal dining and great cocktails and just a great area to relax.

Not been here for some time, but still just as good, went for the excellent prawn cocktail and, just for a change, had the pork belly,all good, cleared my plate. Here's to our next visit.

Sunday roast was good with lots of nice vegetables. Good value at £20. Got overcharged for our oysters but quickly offered to rectify. Nice decor and garden. Unfortunately two private parties in restaurant and so very noisy and so we did not stay long

We went to The Duck twice for lunch whilst staying in the area. Immediate impressions: friendly, professional welcome, warm greetings for our our Border Collie - a rare thing in some places. Menu is very well-balanced, choices for every taste - a sign of a kitchen and chef that know what the clients want and executes it perfectly. Lovely space, not cramming you in to maximise yield. The new owners have been running it for more than a year and in our view have got it spot on. Will return whenever we visit our friends in North Norfolk. Highly recommend The Duck!

Lovely meal. Scallops to start, lobster for main, all beautifully cooked and served with super vegetable accompaniments. Absolutely top notch. And very decent size lobster which isn’t always the case in many other restaurants. One point to bear in mind and be sure to avoid: had a table in the bar as I had dogs with me. My table was right next to the back door and there was a constant flow of people (staff and customers) continually in and out. Didn’t help it was blowing a gale so a blast of tornado as well as disruption. Sadly had to give up and forego dessert to get away from it!

Tasty food, reasonable value and quick service to start. However, we were left for over twenty five minutes before being able to order our dessert. They were busy and this would not usually have been a problem but we had the most odd couple sitting next to us, and she was like Alex Politzi on steroids, opinionated and speaking loudly with her mouth full of food! Not great when you’ve come out for a quiet meal with your husband during your weekend away. Otherwise a lovely little pub!

Food was lovely. Service friendly and prompt. Restaurant and facilities all clean and well presented. Only crib and its small thought wine list pricey. Would go back.

Lovely venue, nice decor and menu. Very professional but firendly staff. I took my mom for lunch for her birthday and had asked if they could do something to make it a bit special for her. At the end of our meal (which was very good) they brought out a lovely platter with mini brownies and berries, decorated with happy birthday written in chocolate! Really pleased.

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner with the family, delicious cocktails followed really wonderful food. The beef carpaccio was absolutely scrumptious, melt in the mouth, my fish main course with crab risotto did not disappoint. I rounded off with treacle tart - yum! The service was excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend.
