THE DUCK STANHOE

After a stunning refurbishment there will be no huge surprise for existing Duck guests as Jeremy and Rachael continue to fly the flag for local suppliers and seasonal menus. Sourcing the best seafood available from Cromer to Wells-next-the-Sea and free range meats from local farmers and butchers.

Coming soon will be our garden menu perfect for those popping in without booking and now the weather is kinder our garden and garden lounge is ideal for some informal dining and great cocktails and just a great area to relax.

Lovely Sunday lunch at The Duck. Friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend. Suggest you book ahead.

Food was exceptional but was disappointed with the service. Shame because we always have such a lovely, hoping it was a one off!

We had a meal at the Duck Inn while on holiday in Norfolk recently and enjoyed it so much we booked again for 2 days later. The food is fantastic with a good varied selection. Rachel our host went above and beyond to make both evenings memorable. Cant recommend this highly enough.

The fourth visit in the last couple of months. A superbly run family restaurant with excellent food good menu and efficient polite service. All with a buzzy atmosphere nice decor at good value. You can't wish for more. Thank you Peter and Judy Hambly

Our party of 3 all chose scallops as first course - this was a mistake. The scallops, although a generous portion, were served on ' scallop shells' which was not. good idea. We all ended up scraping the scallops off the shells as they had all been stuck to the surface - the only way to eat them was to scrape them into an unattractive heap! Our hands were a mess -we really needed finger bowls. My 'fishcake was awful - really it was a potato cake with the hint of haddock flavour. All in all, a dismal start tot he new year. The Transylvanian pinot grigio saved the day. I can't speak on behalf of two companions. They seemed to be happier than I was but the salmon looked dried and burned and so did the cauliflower steak which ast £18 for a bit floret of cauliflower is a joke.
