After a stunning refurbishment there will be no huge surprise for existing Duck guests as Jeremy and Rachael continue to fly the flag for local suppliers and seasonal menus. Sourcing the best seafood available from Cromer to Wells-next-the-Sea and free range meats from local farmers and butchers.

Coming soon will be our garden menu perfect for those popping in without booking and now the weather is kinder our garden and garden lounge is ideal for some informal dining and great cocktails and just a great area to relax.

Late notice meant early table booking. Great to be able to sit and have a drink at the bar prior to dining. Lovely decor in bar and dining area. Good quality food, plentiful and great value. Excellent wine selection. Overall a lovely Friday night meal ending the week. Staff were excellent .

I booked a meal here for my partners birthday. We are local to Norfolk but just fancied getting away for a night to the country. We stayed overnight in one the rooms available at the Duck. (I reviewed this positively on AirBNB). The restaurant has a lovely buzz to it with a hard working attentive team. There was some excellent advice on the wine which we took and had an excellent bottle of red with our meal. The food was lovely, it was tasty and really had that fresh vibrant feel to all the ingredients. Really excellent meal. We'll definitely get back there for a roast following a windy walk in the autumn.

The food continues to be amazing at The Duck, service was a little slow but nothing that will stop us returning.

The menu looked better than average and the surroundings attractive. However, my wife ordered scallops to start at a price of £15. She was presented with just 2 queen scallops and garnishing. A ridiculous price. She had also ordered a vegetarian dish for her main course, which was based around roasted celeriac. The food arrived, but none of the advertised shitake mushrooms on the plate. When questioned, the manager said that 'the chef had forgotten to add them'. Not good enough.

Lovely meal and very reasonably priced. Very tasty and a bit different from 'the norm'. Service was excellent and an enjoyable experience all round

We went in Norfolk restaurant week and it was outstanding. We went back this week for Sunday lunch , the food was good but the service was slow and inattentive and not especially welcoming. Drinks were very expensive £12 for a glass of wine.

A nice meal in very pleasant surroundings. Bar is dog friendly but not a great deal of room if you were taking more than one dog. But worked well with one. Nice beer garden too if the weather is good.
