The Dry Spy - Bromsgrove's premier venue for a special night out or regular place eat, drink and socialise!!

With decor and art deco style harking back to the roaring '20s with the finest cocktail selection, delicious food and unrivalled atmosphere. This stunning venue also has the finest gardens and rooftop terrace in the area, overlooking the heart of Bromsgrove. With lovely outside spaces and a dedicated menu The Dry Spy is also child friendly so the perfect venue for families to enjoy something extraordinary.

Also keep an eye out for the regular live music events that you can tie in with your meal to make a night out a big night out!!

We have multiple areas for private events including our heated terrace, Cassiday's private function room and the secret garden with it's own outdoor bar! Our private events can range from 15 people up to 150! We now offer wedding packages as we have recently received our wedding licence. Bookings being taken for 2023 and 2024.

Summer and call a were attentive, helpful, friendly and welcoming. The service, drinks and food were amazing. It made our anniversary doubly special. We would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a venue. As regulars of long-standing we are always assured of prompt service and fabulous food, drinks and service.

The Sunday lunch was very nice and tasted very freshly cooked. The only disappointment was the size of the Calamari starters and it would have been nice if pigs in blankets and stuffing were side order options.

Love this place the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding. Have been here a few times and never been disappointed.

As always, this place delivered. Amazing Sunday lunch provided with efficient and friendly staff and great wine! Nowhere else comes close for a Sunday Roast!

Our tables was booked for 7:30pm on the roof top terrace. When we arrived we had a table downstairs, I questioned this and was told that there’s a private booking on the terrace so we couldn’t sit there. Unsure why they would release tables up there to book if they have a private party on. We were asked for a drinks order around 10 minutes from arriving and asked for a couple more minutes. We then spent the next 20 minutes trying to get someone’s attention to order. We ordered one round and some starters. We then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. So by 8:30pm we have only just got our first drink and waited around 20minutes for calamari halloumi and deep fried chicken. The calamari was soggy and unpleasant. We then ordered a second round that took just as long, so at 8:50 we decided to leave. The service was terrible.

Food, drinks & all staff were great! My only issue would be the amount of tables, anyone with mobility issues would struggle to get to the disabled toilet for sure! It’s lost the ambience …it’s not cosy just loads of tables rammed in so you feel like you’re all eating together! It was definitely better before you ripped out the long bench seat & rammed lots of tables in! Just spoils the place! Also what are you? 1920’s theme cocktail bar? restaurant? nightclub? live music venue? Just a shame cos despite the food, cocktails & staff being good I probably won’t return! Just lacks something
