The Dry Spy - Bromsgrove's premier venue for a special night out or regular place eat, drink and socialise!!

With decor and art deco style harking back to the roaring '20s with the finest cocktail selection, delicious food and unrivalled atmosphere. This stunning venue also has the finest gardens and rooftop terrace in the area, overlooking the heart of Bromsgrove. With lovely outside spaces and a dedicated menu The Dry Spy is also child friendly so the perfect venue for families to enjoy something extraordinary.

Also keep an eye out for the regular live music events that you can tie in with your meal to make a night out a big night out!!

We have multiple areas for private events including our heated terrace, Cassiday's private function room and the secret garden with it's own outdoor bar! Our private events can range from 15 people up to 150! We now offer wedding packages as we have recently received our wedding licence. Bookings being taken for 2023 and 2024.

Great venue, lovely decor and good prix fixe offer. Unfortunately we were the only two customers there!

Id looked at the menu online before going and noticed an eggs Florentine with a mushroom, which wasn't on the menu when we arrived, but I asked the waitress and she said it was still possible to get. She answered a few other questions for us for reassurance over pregnancy and intolerance concerns and was really helpful and polite through all. We asked for a table away from the music speaker but as we were the only people there initially she just turned it down for us overall. The food was absolutely delicious and I would definitely go here again. We were made to feel very welcome despite asking a lot of questions! Highly recommend.

Maybe when you have a function upstairs consider no having the music downstairs as you just get a mix of both which isn’t great to listen to. This is a very minor point but just thought I would mention it for you to consider. Otherwise I love the venue the staff and the food.

Booked a table to dine on this visit to The Dry Spy. It was our first time of dining here and we were not disappointed. I had chicken and husband had the burger. Both were delicious! Really good value, well presented and the best tender stem broccoli I have eaten in a long time. Our waitress was fantastic! Very professional, good humoured, knowledgeable about the beers available and kept our glasses topped up nicely! Excellent entertainment on the terrace, a very versatile female singer with a good catalogue of songs covering all genres. A very good night, we will definitely be going back!

Wasnt expecting to dine there with the england v switzerland euro match on otherwise we would have gone to wetherspoons instead, abandoned any hope of an intimate birthday meal and just accepted it, the staff were very good but the sirloin steak i ordered was probably the worst cut ever, more fat than a doner kebab, the peppercorn sauce wasnt sauce, it was runny fluid , went downstairs to the bar area and copped for some ambient vaping which seems to be prevalent in most pubs these days, the place had gone downhill since it was st johns , disappointed.

We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service and this includes quality of the products we sell in the building, however, sadly we did not achieve this on this occasion for you. We extend our deepest apologies and can ensure you that this is a once off and would like to invite you back so that we may show you how we have taken your input onboard and show you the true Dry Spy experience. With regards to the football, we do not normally show live sport at our bar but are only showing England games for the euros. Excellent food and service as always. New list of stunning cocktails and vegan and vegetarian options were available. Highly recommended.
