The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

Main waiter serving table was good. Seriously let down by the kitchen. Starters arrived in cold dishes put in middle of the table (not main waiter). For the mains, meat arrived on cool plates with gravy, next cauliflower cheese and extra pigs in blankets. We then waited over 5 minutes for main veg. Meat had got cold, requested extra gravy to heat up meal. Roast potatoes arrived a further 5 minutes later white and not good. Meat was returned to kitchen and replaced with hot meat on another cool plate. Other than potatoes the food was nice. Don't understand why kitchen would send meat without veg and 10 minutes before the final components were ready! A single meal became multiple courses. Disappointing won't be returning for food have been 4 time and always there's a food issue. We won't be returning again unless it's just for a drink. Roast dinner should be easy, certainly for a qualified chef.

Couldn’t fault this place, best roast I’ve had in ages, staff were really lovely and helpful.

Excellent as always. Friendly service both when booking and during the meal. Very accommodating for 8 people and a dog. Delicious food with classic pub options that are elevated with presentation and taste. Love going there and will go again.

ANOTHER excellent experience dining at the Drumming Snipe with five friends. Service as always was exceptional as was the food accompanied with local draft beer and a lovely bottle of wine.

Unfortunately this was our second disappointing visit. I had fish and chips and mocktail. Sadly mocktail tasted like lime cordial only. Fish had strange off smell to it, and chips seemed prefrozen. Over all, we won't be rushing back. I would like to add that service was very good and all staff professional.

Always like going here but sadly the lunch menu was very poor for light bites. Just offering hard soda bread for a sandwich for example. The server listened to our thoughts & did his best to offer an alternative.
