The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub Restaurant nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

Ambiance is nice but the Roast Beef on Sunday was very disappointing. One of the pricier options for a roast in the area, I was disappointed, the beef was more like 3 very small well done slices of minute steak, and the veg albeit "endless" were not great.

From moment we entered the reception and service was consistently great - friendly courteous and helpful . The food was of a high standard - we went for the Sunday roast but in the evening where you might assume it would be based on what was lef5 from lunch - but far from it , taste and quality was as if a la carte , you can have more of the already generous sides including delicious roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese but serving of food is already ample enough,. There was a bit of a cool breeze so staff happily turned on burner for us then later found a great place for us in the bar

Staff very friendly and attentive, apart from our initial entry as it wasn’t clear where the restaurant was so hung around for a bit. Eventually after asking the restaurant was on other side of bar. Nice atmosphere, although the stuffed animals were off putting and eerie! Waiting staff very helpful, food was nice; sons burger was lovely, roast was tepid but was too hungry to send it back - it came with plenty of veg and extra gravy which was a nice touch. Probably won’t rush back but will definitely go again some time , thanks

First time to eat in this restaurant. Enjoyed the Sunday lunch. Will go again during the week to try either the set menu or main menu.
