Great food, fine ales, plenty of gin and a friendly atmosphere – what more could you want from a restaurant and country pub! 2024 has seen an extensive £150,000 refurbishment creating a stylish and contemporary restaurant & country pub..

Set in the tiny, picturesque village of Skipwith only ten miles south of York, it is the main destination inn in the area. The delicious created dishes on our menu are locally sourced and reflect the changing seasons, mirroring the wonderful walks to be found through Skipwith Common, right on its doorstep.

Delicious Sunday dinner, well presented. Good service and a beautiful revamp of decoration inside The Drovers. Looking forward to a return visit.

Drovers arms experience was amazing. Food was perfect. Staff very friendly and atmosphere was perfect. We could see that the team take real pride in this pub. If it was to give any feedback it would be two simple things: change cutlery it’s difficult to cut food up feels blunt. Service could be quicker between courses and ordering - but amazing!!!

It was our first visit and it was fantastic! A lovely touch to give Mum a card and birthday plate. Brilliant service, food and atmosphere. The noise level was high and with hearing aids she struggled a bit but it’s very difficult to keep the level down with so many people having a great time!

Beautiful little countryside pub/restaurant. Had the Sunday dinner with all the meat choices. It was slightly cool and the beef was tough and over cooked, but generally really good. Staff cannot be faulted, quick, responsive and very polite and helpful.

wonderful meal with friends. the service was impeccable and I think he must have been the head waiter was very funny and made it all seem effortless, which I'm sure it's not. The food was outstanding. Being gluten free there are tons of choice on the menu with very clear indications on the menu. This makes you feel your not being awkward which many restaurants do do. Cannot fault our whole experience. Very much recommend this restaurant, have been here twice before and on those occasions the experience was just as good. Well done all of the staff, amazing job well done yet again!
