Great food, fine ales, plenty of gin and a friendly atmosphere – what more could you want from a restaurant and country pub! 2024 has seen an extensive £150,000 refurbishment creating a stylish and contemporary restaurant & country pub..

Set in the tiny, picturesque village of Skipwith only ten miles south of York, it is the main destination inn in the area. The delicious created dishes on our menu are locally sourced and reflect the changing seasons, mirroring the wonderful walks to be found through Skipwith Common, right on its doorstep.

Booked table as we was staying just down the road, so glad we did this place is first class. Ordered Sunday roast beef with extras. WOW …… wish we lived closer as this would be my new local. Staff fantastic. Out of this world food no more to say but well done and keep up the great work

Great Sunday lunch as always. Vegan option was good and we were looked after by lovely staff.

Overall had a great family festive meal, slightly disappointed with the length of time taken from arriving to getting the food. Table booked at 1pm and no food until 2pm however no complaints at all over the standard of food was absolutely delicious. Service slow for ordering refill of drinks also but appreciate the restaurant was busy but this just took the edge off a 5 star experience.

Very nice find. Food and service were excellent. Menu choice was varied and plenty to choose from. We had just done a walk and it was just a lovely place to eat and have a drink. Would highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Another fabulous meal at The Drovers Arms. Your staff were very attentive, our meal was amazing as always. We absolutely loved our lunchtime meal out. It felt really chrismassy with the beautiful decorations. Thank you.
