Great delicious food, reasonable priced in a lovely open topped courtyard overlooking Penarth seafront.

As a huge fan of Dough Thrower when their Victoria Park restaurant was open, I was so looking forward to their pop-up at Bayscape. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. The pizza dough recipe has not only changed but has been completely replaced with a totally inferior product which was frankly disgusting. The dough is clearly a main factor in a pizza, replacing it has effectively ruined what was previously my favourite Cardiff pizza. Also paid £8.50 for the truffle and parmesan fries which were hard, dry and not very 'truffle-y'. Disappointed

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy our pizza dough on this occasion. We haven't changed anything in our dough recipe for 30 years, it's always remained the same. At Victoria park we had a wood fired oven which would give a different flavour to the dough, at bayscape we have a pizza over with no wood or fire so the flavour will change with various ovens but it definitely isn't our famous Pizza dough. We love our dough recipe and we don't change it. If you're ever unhappy with the quality just return it to us and we will change it for you. Kind Regards, The Dough Thrower

Really enjoyed our visit yesterday, of course we had pizza from The Dough Thrower. It’s always delicious, and even more so. At Coffi Co had a nice window seat over looking the marina.
