Inspired by the British coastline and countryside, Executive Chef Ryan Lister is excited to bring a taste of his culinary roots to downtown Toronto. Within The Dorset’s charming and airy interior, guests are warmly invited to wet their whistles (and their appetites) at the main floor bar; or settle in upstairs for an elevated à la carte or Chef’s tasting menu experience. Embark on a culinary journey inspired by the British coast and countryside with Taste of The Dorset, our exquisite six-course tasting menu spotlighting succulent seafood and seasonal delights. Served Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm in our elegant second-floor dining room, indulge in a meticulously crafted showcase of artful technique and exceptional ingredients. To further enhance your fine dining experience, enjoy curated wine pairings designed to elevate each dish. $130 per person. Excludes tax & gratuity. Please note: once booked, you will be contacted for a $50 dining deposit. Participation of the entire table is highly encouraged. Cancellations require 24 hours notice.

Many of the Full English Breakfast items were inedible. Peameal looked and tasted like it fell into a coal fuelled fire. Blood Sausage was super dry. Only a single egg...The

Loved our experience. Whole family enjoyed a fab meal in the bar area after a matinee performance. Excellent food and exceptional service. We’ll be back!

I tried the tasting menu and it was delicious. Highly recommend. The food was presented beautifully and each course was described to us in detail, some courses were even described to us by the chef - which was such a lovely touch! The service was fantastic and the decor was beautiful. A big thank to our server, Dylan, and the house Sommelier, for really going the extra mile to make the tasting menu experience so special. Will definitely be back and I will be recommending this place to all my friends.

The décor is a blend of elegance and comfort, with dim lighting and tasteful artwork creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for any occasion. Service at The Dorset is exceptional. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive service at the table, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special. Our server was knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was flawless. The food at The Dorset is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish we tried was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. We began with the wagyu tartare & a scotch egg, which were perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious sauce. We then shared the lamb, pork and halibut for our main course. All were delightful, bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors. The cocktails and wine were also spot on and added to the wonderful evening. In summary, The Dorset excels in ambiance, service, and cuisine. It’s a place that guarantees a memorable dining experience, making it perfect for any special occasion or a delightful evening out. Highly recommended!

The food was ok, nothing out of the extraordinary, portions in the smaller side. The steak for example is only 2 slices of meat.. the host who greeted us at the entrance was not able to accommodate us in the patio even though there was a table avaialbale because the first person who arrived from our reservation was already seated.. I dont think it is worth to go back to this place

The Dorset is a beautiful, elegant spot that is unlike many other restaurants in the city, in that it has two distinct dining areas, each with their own vibe and menu - the more formal upstairs dining room and the more casual, cozy bar area downstairs. The English-inspired food is fantastic, innovative and expertly prepared and the staff is tremendously friendly. A great spot that brings something new to Toronto's restaurant scene.

Visited The Dorset for Sunday Roast and had a lovely time! I ordered the beef rump roast with yorkshire pudding which was so delicious and a big portion - definitely a great value. We also ordered a selection of desserts and they were all 11/10, we could not pick a favourite! Service was quick, friendly and attentive. We sat downstairs in the bar but I'll be back to check out the dining room upstairs soon!

One of the best brunches I have had in Toronto. The portobello mushroom as part of the full English breakfast was a flavour bomb! Had to get the recipe. Reasonable prices and sensible sized serving. Will go back again!

Third time here. First time was great. Last time and this time not good at all. Service was extremely slow. Nice waitress however, it took forever to get a drink. 7 meals and only 2 were decent. The rest were bland and my pork roast of the day was cold and dry and was clearly cooked hours before. Won’t be back.
