There were problems with service on the day we visited. For a group of 7 pre-booked, the first dish was served and eaten before the remaining six arrived. Also, there were problems in the kitchen understanding what is wheat free and what isn't. That could be hugely serious in someone with severe allergic reaction. The staff were friendly and sympathetic but they failed on administration and service. I must say..., the food we were ultimately served was excellent but the pain in the ordering process and ultimate delivery meant we won't be returning. Sorry but it's the honest truth.

We had a shocking visit to this pub, drinks weren’t available to start with, the menu is completely different to the one online and then they over charged us! I asked for my meal to come without salsa (due to an allergy) which it didn’t, so I sent it back and could see the chefs mocking me in the open kitchen!

Delicious Sunday Roast Very helpful staff - we were able to place our order at 320pm and go for a dog walk and be back at 350 for our Roast. Perfect! Very kind and chatty and warm staff. Piping hot roast - lovely Malbec too!

Very new managers & let’s hope they make a great success of this lovely country pub as they were charming and very keen. We went for the roast beef & roast chicken & whilst good portion sizes & great variety of veg unfortunately it was served swamped in gravy which sadly overwhelmed everything on the plate & made it all a bit soggy which was a great shame as gravy was served separately as well. Hopefully the new managers will focus on the food and make it match the great service they gave.

We had a very disappointing experience at The Dog and Badger last Sunday afternoon. I booked online and we arrived at 3.30pm. It took a while to find someone to seat us and from there the service was quite frankly shocking. It took at least 10 minutes for our order to be taken, a further 20 minutes to be told that one of our choices was not available and a further 10 minutes for someone to come back for our reselection. We had already been waiting for our order for 40 minutes which was completely unacceptable. The staff all seemed very young and inexperienced - at no time did we see any managerial presence. Not an experience we wish to repeat or indeed an experience we will recommend to family, friends and colleagues.

What a find. Great Sunday lunch after a rugby festival in Henley. We couldn’t believe this place was so empty. The only negative was inexperienced staff but this was obviously in the process of being rectified. Best Sunday lunch we have had in a while. Our 4 kids (2-12) were all catered for and the staff were happy to make them a drink not on the menu.
