Established in 2013, THE DISPENSARY would not be out of place in downtown Manhattan or inner-city Melbourne. Boasting Mackay’s largest wine and whisky collection, and a great selection of boutique beers and cocktails you are sure to find the perfect beverage to suit.

Wonderful Trained Staff. Not overcrowded with too many tables and people. Food was amazing.

Food took an hour and half on a slow evening without explanation. Nothing offered as compensation. Food was good but 2/5 plates were cold. Entree came with mains despite asking for it as it was ready. Nothing done for birthday. Ordered steak and asked what side sauce I’d like, asked if it was included or an extra charge, told it was included. Steak came out without side sauce… was charged for side sauce… Just disappointed.

Our waitstaff member Gary was as excellent as ever. The pork belly and trimmings was excellent although the rump steak wasn’t as good as we had hoped.

Lovely attentive staff, great drinks menu options. Nice setting, loud environment considering its size. Small menu, well presented and prepared. My opinion was overpriced for the quality and options available. Smaller meals at a higher price

We went for the Tuesday special $40 pasta night. Nothing could be faulted. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back.

We were seated in the back of the dining area which was perfect, however the speaker behind us was turned up in volume by a staff member and it was too loud, I was about to ask for it to be lowered in volume when another staff member came along and turned it down to an acceptable level. Food was lovely and the service great too.

Took a little while to get our first round of drinks - 25min… the Entree of kingfish and zucchini flowers good. Softshell crab not great… bit goey. I was disappointed by the mains. By far the best thing on the menu is the gnocchi. Our waiter was great though so couldn’t fault the service. But overall disappointed with the food for the price we paid. I wouldn’t recommend until the menu is better. Great atmosphere though if looking for cocktails
