THE DINING ROOM AT SUN MOUNTAIN LODGE: Breakfast is currently served in the Wolf Creek Bar and Grill on all weekdays. If you cannot find a convenient time, please call our host at 509-996-4707 so we can assist you. Also, visit our website and learn about our extraordinary Wine Dinners and group events.

FAMILY FRIENDLY LOUNGE: Our Wolf Creek Bar and Grill opens at noon daily. The Grill is the place to be if you’re looking for great food and a full bar from our Lunch/All-Day dining menu served in a casual atmosphere. The Bar and Grill is family-friendly and offers stunning views. Seating is first come/first served.

We are approximately 6 miles west of Winthrop, WA. Offering breathtaking views overlooking the Methow Valley and the Cascade Mountains.

Sun Mountain Lodge offers many outdoor recreation adventures, including horseback riding, cross-country skiing, & more. Book a treatment in our spa, or stay the night in one of our rooms. We also offer cabins along the Patterson Lakefront.

My bartender allowed me to trade out a drink that I did not care for. He was the perfect level of conversational without disturbing my meal. I had two solo meals and a family meal and I enjoyed all three. The best dish that I ordered was the avocado toast. The Caesar salad with steak was also yummy.

The breakfasts in the lodge are always such a cheerful experience. The staff is happy and accommodating, and the food, especially on the weekends, is well-prepared. Of course, it goes without saying that the view is wonderful. We love going there every summer!

Food, service, ambiance, everything was amazing! Juan couldn't have been more attentive, stellar service. VERY pleased and would long to return if I didn't live on the other side of our beautiful Nation.

I was a little worried after reading several negative reviews. Which was good because I ended up being blown away. The food was absolutely excellent. My friend and I ordered Salmon Cakes (which I don't normally like) the Prawns, the goat cheese and strawberry dish and the Faro salad. Every single dish was well above average. The Faro salad is now one of my favorite dishes anywhere. I don't usually like Crab or Salmon cakes as they're normally overly breaded. These were not. They were great. The only suggestion in regards to the food was that there was too much goat cheese for the amount of sauce served with it. More sauce please! But the flavors were amazing. I also read that the service was terrible. Which, I have to say when we were there the restaurant was really slow. Only a few tables. Maybe they don't do well when they're busy, but we had great service. I wouldn't call it your typical five star ambiance. Everything at the lodge is a little rough around the edges for that. But still a five star experience.

The setting and view is fabulous. They need a new menu and a new chef. Everything is over seasoned and feels like they are trying too hard. For example, two scrambled eggs... they don't list that the eggs come with cheese and chives mixed in already (this was for the kids order too). After that, we had to confirm ingredients first. The kids French toast has not only Nutella, but powdered sugar and strawberries on it. That's a bit much for any child. By our third morning, I got a cup of coffee and that was it....

This fantastic resort is currently having problems with their food services. We heard the food and beverage manager left abruptly just before we got there. The wait staff was definitely underprepared, the kitchen clearly is having issues. Our dishes were bad enough we considered asking for a comp but it’s probably not their fault. The wine list is great. Hopefully the issues will resolve soon because it’s a beautiful room in a resort that’s otherwise flawless.

Great blend of flavors. Wish there was a little more to the Crab cake appetizer. Shaved Asparagus salad was different. We had lobster Ravioli and the Halibut. The Ravioli was excellent. The Halibut was good but not light and flaky as it should be.
