For a special night out, we had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was creative and for the most part quite delicious but a few courses had too much vinegar or lemon juice which overpowered the food. The wine pairings at $90 per person were disappointing and too light for the courses they were paired with (like drinking watered down wine with little flavour) so we paid even more money to order our own wines from the wine list to try to salvage the dining experience. A very expensive evening we would not repeat despite the excellent efforts of our server.

I am still trying to find the negative site, but I can’t. The food and service were outstanding. Everything was too perfect to be true. I can recommend this place!!!

The atmosphere/food and service were excellent. The restaurant is very busy. The delivery of the food is slow. Just make sure you aren’t in need of being somewhere quickly. Worth the wait - just be cautious about your timing. We had the pork belly, salmon , duck and cheese platter. Each course was first class. Would certainly return.

Our server was awesome and looked after us great. The appts and drinks came fairly fast. Then it went downhill from that. It was over a hour and a half before the main course came. One of us asked for a red wine when his steak arrived, they brought him the wine so we assumed the meal was coming but he drank his wine well before the steak came. My meal was almost barely warm almost cold, two of the other three meals were warm but the ladies didn't want to complain but I did. When I told it was cold she (not our server ) said how could it be I just grab it, so doubting me. They took my meal back a warm it up a bit. The did comp us the three warm meals but by then the birthday meal/ outing was wrecked . We would never go back. Again our server was great and we felt bad for her.

The muffin on the eggs Benedict was so hard couldn’t cut through it had to press with the knife point also the egg must have been much less than large since there were mostly greens and sauce. Very sad breakfast the waitress brought a side of toast or would have left hungry 😖

I love this hotel and every staff member is a star. The dinner offerings are not in sync with the great vibes all around. It was hard to pick from my few possible options being on a diet of protein and vegetables. I think pretension has taken over what regular travellers want to eat. My steak was tasty but sinewy and tough. The staff and drinks make up for the kitchen.

Highly recommend the seasonal tasting menu - delicious, creative and a feast for both your palate and eyes. The food is matched by an attentive and charming service team. An exceptional experience in every sense of the word.
