What a treat to enjoy lunch here after a long morning drive from Tofino. We both had pasta, along with two different BC wines. The service via Sarah our waitperson was flawless, and the room/ambience just what we needed after 4.5 hours on the road. The Courtney Room deserves all its recent and past accolades. Bon appetit!

A little disappointing. We had eaten here before, and it has regressed. We spent 4 nights in Victoria and considered this our lowest ranked dinner. The food is quite good, no question. BUT, the server we had was extremely arrogant and it set the wrong tone. The portion size for both the salmon and cod fillets must have been about 4 ounces. When you are paying $40+ for these, one might expect a little more quantity. And, the atmosphere is quite stiff -- not fun or engaging at all. The whole staff seems to be going through the motions and don't appear to enjoy what they are doing. We will not return. There are too many other better dinner options.

Wonderful food, you can tell the kitchen puts great passion into their work. Servers were very attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant. Not a huge restaurant, so waiters were on hand at all times. Definately coming back. We did have breakfast here as well as it was exceptional. Menu items ordered, waffles were delicious, eggs benedict were divine. Dinner was ribeye steak and pork coppa. Excellent. Drinks were strong. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The overall dining experience is exception and it is so far one of the best meals we have in the year. A true serendipity because we originally booked for Q at the Empress, but was unimpressed with their menu, so we changed our mind and it was a great find. Every dish you can tell the chef spent time for his/her creations and this is greatly appreciated. Service was great and we were amazed to find the Canadian whiskeys from Vancouver Island and we were pleasantly surprised.
