Located within walking distance to Salem Old Town Hall & Witch History Museum right in the heart of downtown Salem, The Derby is scratch restaurant focused on unique, locally sourced, American fare with great and unique cocktails and a vast selection of Draft Beer! We have large televisions throughout the restaurant, windows from ceiling to floor, and a beautiful patio for those warm days! Whether you are out to watch the game, catch up with old friends, or just enjoy a nice night out on the town, The Derby is here to meet all of your needs. Feel free to ask our team for recommendations if you are visiting form out of town... Salem is not just about the witches.
*Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm

Went for their Harry Potter brunch! Parking was simple, right around the corner. Food and drinks were amazing! Service was very attentive and best thing is the restaurant is kid friendly! Can’t wait to go again!!

Good food, with a gluten-free bread option for my French Dip sandwich. Great service. Waitress kept checking on us, even though we moved out of our original section, so we could hear the Trivia host better. Trivia was lots of fun. Host was very friendly, welcoming, and clear with his instructions. We had a fun evening!

The food was very good. Would recommend the fried green tomatoes and the pork belly tacos for starters - totally delicious. Fish and chips were excellently cooked with a very generous portion of fish. The prime rib sandwich was also tasty. Would not recommend Caesar salad. Not a Caesar or a decent salad, and the only overpriced item on the menu. Overall, great food at a great price with great service. Would recommend.

The Derby is our family's "go to" spot when visiting our son, who attends Salem State University. The ownership and staff are outstanding, welcoming, and generally nice people. The food & drink never disappoints. The atmosphere is perfect for a low-key gathering, trivia night, or cocktails at the bar. I highly recommend stopping by!

Alaina was great! Her recommendations were a hit. We were dining with 3 picky kids who all raved about the food. It was relaxed. Family friendly. And we would definitely recommend for an elevated casual bite.

Food was very good. Waitress was sweet and helpful and on top of things. Great experience. We wnet right when they opened at 11 and it was quiet but started to pickup when we left a couple of hours later. Would go back again.
