    Four of us had great meals at The Derby last night. This is becoming one of our regular local places to eat. Fantastic food, good service and nice ambience. We haven’t used the outside area, but it looks very good.

    My daughter and I had a lovely time on Sunday at The Derby Inn . The food was delicious we had belly pork roast which was cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely and friendly. Beautiful quaint little pub. Will definitely be going back

    Another lovely lunch here. My friend enjoyed it too. The food was delicious & very generous & there is always a lovely selection to choose from. There was a steady stream of people coming in, but quite a few went & sat outside in the sun. There was a nice atmosphere though… not too quiet but not noisy either. Our waitress was lovely too… very cheerful & attentive without going over the top. Happy to recommend & will definitely be back.

    We went for father's day dinner, and booked for 5.15pm. When we arrived we were shown to our table which was literally behind the desk you go to when you arrive and are shown to your table. It felt awkward and squashed, to be sat so close to the desk with people arriving and by the phone etc.. not great. The paper menus were dirty, they were well used and bent and had food and grease spots over them. Not very nice. We ordered food, were told by the waitress olives came with the bread (as we originally asked to order them separately). No olives came with the bread. The children ordered chicken goujons. These came and were awful. Dry and over cooked, looked as though they had been kept warm all afternoon. No veg, beans nothing else on the plate. Really bad. Kids didn't eat much of them. Our roast dinners were average. For the price paid I don't think they were good value for money. Meat was tough, Yorkshire puddings luke warm. Deserts were ordered, ice cream and fudge cake were nice. The cheesecake tasted ok. Profiteroles.. tasted great but you got one profiterole and a spoon of ice cream in a small glass. I'm not sure if I expected too much but for £7.50 it seemed over priced. Really disappointed as I've been before and always enjoyed my meals, but our experience was not enjoyable on what we hoped would be a nice meal for fathers day with our family.

    Another lovely evening dining with my son. We enjoy having a good catch up and can always rely on this restaurant for good food, excellent wine and first rate service.

    Have been here a few times now for lunch to meet a friend as it’s halfway for both of us. It’s worth the hour drive for me - great food and fabulous service

    Late last minute booking squeezed in for Sunday lunch, fab food quick polite and friendly as usual great place to eat and reasonably priced
