The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     First time here. My wife and I came to this really nice restaurant where we were greeted and immediately sat down. The waiter was professional and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The ribeye steak and the chicken cordon bleu are an absolutely must try!!! Would definitely return!

                                                    Our absolute favorite place to dine. The service is impeccable. Courteous, friendly but not hovering. We love the filet mignon. It is always done perfectly. Hash browns are the best. We live in the Madison area. No other supper club (or the ones professing to be a supper club) compares. The staff, from the hostess stands, to the servers are happy. They actually seem to enjoy their job!

                                                    This was a very, very nice and wonderful place to eat! We were SO pleased with everything! The waitstaff was wonderful and eager to help us out! The food was delicious-flavorful and done just right! We were celebrating an anniversary and were treated to a very nice and unexpected dessert that was just right for us! The ambiance was really nice, too! We will be back, as this was our best 'Supper Club' adventure to date! Thank you ALL for this terrific time and food!

                                                    Our server was wonderful! The food was superb! We were seated at a 3 foot table on a 2 foot wall. I was on the edge of the hallway, and my husband was seated in the opening of an alcove where two people were busily and loudly discussing politics. Because they were loud, he couldn’t hear me. I think this was a horrible spot for a table. Every time someone walked behind me I could feel my hair moving from the breeze and it was distracting. Like I said, the food was superb and our server was fantastic but that table should be removed or changed somehow.

                                                    Our server Jessie was incredible and very attentive. The only issue we had was our food, we were the last people in the restaurant and came for the prime rib. Jessie said we got the last cuts of the prime rib for the night, unfortunately I think that was our biggest issue. My father is a big prime rib guy and we wanted to take him somewhere nice, he said it was the second worst prime rib he has ever had…we ordered calamari with our meal and it came cold.( got new calamari and it was bland and flavorless)Jessie also noticed our scallops were over cooked so she put in an order for a new batch. It took us a very long time to get our food order in. Being a busy Saturday night I guess there is nothing we can do. Overall the food was just okay but we ended up spending 700$ at our table. Drove 45 minutes to get there to leave disappointed.
