The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     As usual our meal and service was outstanding. Really enjoyed our cocktail waitress while we waited as well. She was friendly and fun.

                                                    Service was fast, steaks were outstanding (had the bone marrow butter in them-yum!) and atmosphere and staff were great!

                                                    Had never been there. Absolutely wonderful experience, delicious food, attentive, friendly staff! Loved the decor, especially the Ladies lounge.

                                                    Everything about Del Bar was excellent! Filet was cooked perfectly and drinks were great too. We were there years ago and it was wonderful then but is even better now. We also loved the ambience. We wish we lived closer to visit more often. You can't go wrong with Del Bar!

                                                    This was our second time eating at Del-Bar—we went out of our way to make a return trip. Food and service were fabulous. We enjoyed homemade French onion soup, cheese curds, farmer’s salad, Scottish Salmon and Halibut dishes and everything arrived hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. We want to give a special shout-out to our server, Chelsey, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Don’t eat here if you are in a hurry. Everything is cooked from scratch and that takes extra time. But if you enjoy leisurely dining with top notch service and food, the Del-Bar won’t disappoint.

                                                    Amazing experience at The Del-Bar while in The Dells on vacation. We had apps, oysters, stuffed mushrooms, chowder, French onion soup. Followed by filet, salmon, halibut and strip steak with all the sides and literally everything was fantastic. Cocktails on point, service exceptional and a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. If you’re in the area do yourself and favor and enjoy a wonderful meal and experience!

                                                    Food, drinks and service was excellent! We had fillet, lobster tail, creamy mashed potato’s. Our friends enjoyed pork chops, shrimp and hash browns. Highly recommend the Del Bar!
