The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     The service and food cannot be beaten. We had the filet and the meat is prime. The salads were excellent and the drinks were great. The only thing I could complain about would be the noise level. It was very crowded and therefore loud

                                                    Had a Great time celebrating our Anniversary with the Del-bar! Charlie are server was awesome. She treated us like we were very special! Food is always the best!

                                                    Always a great experience! We arrived a little early so we had a quick drink at the very busy bar, and were seated right at our reservation time. The steak was as good as I remember as a child. Thanks for the memories!

                                                    A must visit every time I’m in the area. Filet Mignon is overpriced for the quality of the meat. Everything else on pointe. Great old Fashioneds and grasshoppers.

                                                    Love their Friday night fish and tried the panko crusted broiled fish for the first time. It was light and not drowning in butter like so many places make broiled fish so it definitely is a lighter option. Of course, had to have the hashbrowns which always have a perfect crust on top. Service was top notch as usual.
