The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     As usual has fun at the bar, excellent bartender who paid attention to the details on our Old Fashioned and Cosmo. Had the flat iron with bone marrow butter. So tasty! Hubby had Alaskan Halibut with French onion soup. Topped it off with Key Lime pie. A great night! Can’t wait to come back here!!

                                                    Absolutely delicious. We will definitely return. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Potato was a bit small, but for me it was good size. A person with a big appetite may not like that. Dessert was delicious. Cosmo was on point.

                                                    The food was so good! Had great service. Its a place for fine dining. Its very nice and upscale compared to many places in the Dells. We definitely will return. Highly recommend reservations.

                                                    We always love going to the Del Bar. We have a 16 year old daughter who gets a pasta dish, our 15 year old son gets a filet, I got the 20 oz bone in ribeye and my wife got scallops. All were delicious and service is top notch. Old fashioned are good too. Spendy- yes, but the food and service are great.

                                                    Ate at the Del Bar several years ago-dark, out dated , food very good. Now it has been refreshed, food outstanding, service excellent, prices reflect quality and consistent with other similar higher end primarily steak restaurants. Service excellent! One of the very few adult escapes in the Dells!

                                                    Wonderful service and the food was fantastic! I had the filet and it was up there on my top 5 best filets I have ever had. Recommend the cheese curds of course but the mashed potatoes were great and flourless chocolate cake was amazing. Definitely will add this to a staple restaurant that we visit every time we come.
