Récipiendaire d'un Bib Gourmand en 2014 et 2015, le Dawson est un lieu de prédilection décontracté qui dispose de dynamiques espaces intérieurs et extérieurs sur deux niveaux. Chaque zone unique est accessible et offre une expérience diversifiée. Le menu présente une nouvelle cuisine américaine caractérisée par des saveurs simples à la sauce fermière du Midwest. La carte des boissons, offrant sodas maison, cocktails, bières artisanales et vins, complète notre menu de façon créative.     The service was truly unparalleled and the food is incredible. Definitely a great brunch spot and VERY reasonable prices for the menu and experience.

    We visited on Valentine’s Day and were delighted to find a 4-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings. Every dish was delectable! Our server, Anna, was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had a fantastic evening and will definitely be returning.

    Phenomenal good on the Valentines Day pre fixe menu. Our server, Anna, was lovely, and we truly enjoyed our evening. My filet mignon was to die for.

    The Dawson was a great experience. The service was amazing from the moment we walked through the door (coat check) to sitting and getting a waiter ready to go! The waiter was well versed in the menu . The food was amazing, the top dish in my opinion is the Duck wings. The hot honey dripping down onto the bread was sweet, spicy and the perfect texture. I would highly recommend this place and can not wait to try it out when its nicer out and use the patio area.

    Seated promptly at reservation time. Minimal contact with staff prior to ordering drinks, but they were delivered timely. Unfortunately, our starters and entrees were delivered at exactly the same time. Took a minute to flag down our waiter who didn’t apologize, but did take away the entrees. They reappeared at the proper time later, but the steak frites was fair at best and the pork chop was overly fatty. Waiter did take a dessert order (cookies and milk was outstanding!) but failed to offer coffee, tea or after-dinner drinks. Pretty room with a lovely atmosphere, but I doubt I’ll return.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the Nordic Nights Pop-Up at the Dawson. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding! We received first-rate service from our server, Taylor. She was kind, thoughtful, and checked on us at appropriate times. We consider the Dawson a neighborhood gem. The food and service never disappoints!

    Went for my birthday which happens to be during Chicago Restaurant Week. Enjoyed the food and received complimentary champagne. We weren’t rushed, food came out as it should when I was done with my previous dish.

    I usually come to the Dawson for dinner and order the delicious Dawson burger. The bartenders also make a bomb mezcal old fashioned. My boyfriend and I decided to go to The Dawson for my birthday Brunch and we’re glad we did. The server was a sweetheart and prompt to service us. The food was delicious and thank you for the birthday Ice cream that was yum yum yum The host was dressed to the nine and was the perfect person to welcome us.
