Excellent service as always. The food was very good. Really enjoyed the lobster pasta. We will definitely be back.

They ran out of prime rib, which was the only thing my husband was looking forward to for weeks. The entre comes with onion rings, and they do not accept substitutions. The food was cooked well and the servers made it up to us with some French fries which was really nice. We read a negative review about someone that was sat at a dark corner of the restaurant, which we thought sounded very appealing and we were looking forward to a comparable seating. However, we were unfortunately sat underneath a very bright led light, which kinds of ruined the ambience. Very cute restaurant overall.

Great decoration，but for the food I expect much better taste for the price scale. Also for restaurants hygiene, our table was next to the second floor handrails, kind uncomfortable to eat food so close to a handrail full of dust sitting there.

The age is showing. This was a pinnacle back in the day, but hasn’t evolved in any way. Way, way too much garlic on everything Service and staff remain excellent as always, which is the saving grace

Our experience was 5 star. We went for a birthday and anniversary celebration. The Caesar salad was made personally for the four of us. Delicious! The appetizer, the bread, the entrees were superb..(lamb chops and steak)… cooked to perfection The serving staff were absolutely wonderful… would highly recommend an evening at The Duncan House.

It was my first time at The David Duncan House, and I have to say, I was pretty mesmerized by the atmosphere! It felt like having dinner on the Titanic LOL. The food and service were amazing, and I will definitely go back.

We odered the Seafood platter as our main course ( it is listed for two people) we were a party of three, so we order two seafood platters plus three apps . The seafood platter for 2pp is not enough for two pp. ( the platter includes two small lobster tails , 3 shrimps , 3 scallops and three small pieces of crab legs for $230 each ) . We spoke with the manager Rita and she just nodded and smiled, and thanks us for the feedback. We had a $1000 dinner for three and then went to Joey’s for a hamburger. First and last time at The David Duncan House .

My husband and I celebrated our birthdays! I made a reservation well in advance and requested a special table. The customer service was magnificent—very professional, and the staff were wonderful people. The food is exquisite, just perfect! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The best place in the entire GTA! Thank you so much. 100000/10

My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday at David Duncan House. Upon entry to the 'house', we were both struck by the beautiful interior. We intentionally arrived early, so we could enjoy a cocktail in the bar / lounge before dinner. The Bartender was quite engaging and even offered to take a couple of photos. The bar / lounge had an excellent ambience, with cozy tables for two in addition to the seating at the bar. When shown our seats for dinner, we were quite surprised at the size of the restaurant (good for big celebrations) and again, the beautiful decor (dark wood; stained glass; ornate candle fixtures etc). Our two waiters were very attentive and we enjoyed light conversations with both of them. Homemade Foccacia Bread was brought to our table while we perused the menu. It was really very good bread. We ordered an appetizer of 1/2 doz. oysters and they were shucked to perfection! My husband enjoyed the NY Striploin Steak, and I had the Halibut. The fish was good, but it certainly didn't 'wow' me as I expected. It was served in a light cream / lobster sauce with 4 small asparagus spears. For the price, I was a bit disappointed. We also ordered their Steak Fries as a side, and they were delicious. We completed our meal with boozy coffees (the DDH coffee was amazing!) and a piece of delicous chocolate ganache cake (which was complimentary, in celebration of my husband's birthday). We would certainly recommend this restaurant for special celebrations.
