We strive to serve foods that are not only delicious, but also health conscious, environmentally friendly and socially responsible. We use organic, all natural, local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible while still keeping our prices fair. In addition, we also offer an extensive selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and paleo options.

We accept reservations for parties of up to 16 on Opentable. Please email us at carytown@thedkb.com for reservations of 16 or larger. Our patio is first come, first serve. We hope to see you in Carytown soon!

Our waitress Ella was super helpful, selecting just the right coffees and answering questions about gluten-free options. Very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and timely.

The food was mediocre and overpriced. We had to move inside because the patio was covered with flies. Good service, but we will not be coming back.

We were seated outside but the flies were completely awful. it is such a lovely patio but you seriously need some fans! We had to move inside. Our waiter was very accommodating.

There was a mouse running around near our table due to construction next door to the restaurant. It was gross and there was also a sewer like smell. Every other time I have been it has been a good experience. Not last night.

I am very sorry to hear about your recent visit with us. We strive to make sure our guests have a fantastic and memorable meal each time they visit. Unfortunately, Richmond has been having sewer issues all over the city with the high heat and heavy rain. I have called the city and they have assured us they are working on it. With the construction going on next door we have been diligent working with our team to keep any unwanted nuisances from entering so I apologize if there was an issue. We appreciate hearing from you so we can continue to improve especially when we have outside variables affecting service.

I was really looking forward to this meal based on the fact that I am a healthy eater and they have healthy options. However, the first main issue were that there were flies everywhere on our food in our face maybe because they had the doors open, but there were dozens of flies that made eating their really gross, in addition, the meal that I got was a bowl that had sweet potato and the sweet potato was not cooked. It was so hard. I cannot even get my fork in it. The steak on the salad was pretty good overall I have to say I was disappointed, though there are better options available in the area

I am very sorry to hear about your recent visit with us. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness, amazing service, and food we provide every guest so we are sorry if we missed the mark. With the hot weather driving in unwanted guest to our cooler restaurant we have been working meticulous with our outside team to make sure we are keeping them at bay. We have also been working with staff to make sure we are keeping our windows and doors closed to prevent easy access. I will make sure to talk to our chef as well to insure the quality of food is consistent so I apologize about the undercooked sweet potatoes. We truly appreciate feedback from guest like you so we can continue to enhance operations.
