The Cyder House is a beautiful country pub serving delicious home cooked food made to order.
We are family and dog friendly – we even have a dog station to keep our four legged friends happy! We are also lucky enough to have a playground attached to our beer garden.

A lovely little pub in the Surrey countryside, serving great food and with attentive and pleasant staff A great find A great place for a drink and something to eat after one of the lovely nearby walks

Relaxed meal for two couples. Food very good. I felt portion sizes of starter (mine 3 pieces gyozo) a little small. I had beautifully cooked steak for main. It was very/too mild in flavour to my taste when compared to aged steaks cooked at home or at a good steak house. For me also service was rather slow, for example we were offered drinks 20 minutes after being seated and a two course meal was well over two and a half hours. Service was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about food and drink on offer. However our server did say she was very rushed. I would estimate the place was around half full but was not staffed adequately to my mind, having said that, others in the party were happy with the service and more accepting of the under staffing situation. For me, the service experience means i would think twice about returning as it does not compare well with some local competition in that score and good quality is about equal. I feel at this price point, more money needs to be spent to hire enough waiting staff rather than leave then in a position where they discuss the issue with customers which doesn’t feel professional and doesn’t enhance the dining experience.

On arriving at the Cyder House we were made to feel welcome and quickly shown to our table. The staff were welcoming and attentive without making feel rushed. We had plenty of time to choose from the menu. The main reason why we chose the Cyder House was for the menu of vegan and non-vegan items. DH chose the vegan gnocchi it was the first day this was on the menu, it clearly had been well tested as the gnocchi and sauce were perfect a very enjoyable dish. The vegan roast was equally delicious, and there were 4 other vegan items on the main menu to chose from. Our carnivore friends also enjoyed their Sunday roasts :-) Thank you Cyder House for a fabulous meal we look forward to return visit soon

The second time we've been and it was great. Lovely staff, there were several vegan options and the food was great. We really like it and will visit it again

Disappointing. Beef tough and chewy, slightly overcooked. Chicken was reasonable but a little dry. Green vegetables grossly undercooked. Gravy extremely disappointing straight out of a packet and too runny, no added stock, lacking in flavour. Roast potatoes were supposed to be garlic and rosemary but had no taste and were not crunchy on the outside. Yorkshires were not homemade and probably microwaved. We did not partake of a sweet. Certainly not value for money and will not return any time soon.

Always a pleasure to eat here, especially as someone with allergies - tons of options and they clearly know what they’re doing

Helpful, engaging but discrete service was very welcoming. Good was very tasty, well presented and delivered in a timely fashion allowing a lively conversation with companions not to be interrupted. Viewing other dinners meals convince me the plates were a viewing delight and well proportioned offered good value for others attending this lunch session. Well worth a return visit.

We stopped in for a late lunch having previously only viated the pub for a drink. The food we ordered was all freshly prepared and very tasty. Service was very attentive and the prices were reasonable. We will certainly visit again.
