The Curlew in Bodiam, a former 17th century Coaching Inn has reopened it's doors as a gastro pub in September 2023. Serving a variety of British and european classics with locally sourced produce. Situated right on the way to the historical Bodiam Castle it's the perfect stop for lunch, dinner or a drink in the garden.

First time at this restaurant, the whole experience was first class. Food was excellent good value for money. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

First time visit. Very pleasant experience, exceptional food service friendly. Slightly expensive but then you get what you pay for.

Mouth-watering food with a great balance of flavours. The Chef is Outstanding! The Smoked Tuna Tartar was delicious and my favourite! The Red Pepper and Mozerella Aranchi was gorgeous ~ albeit one served to my guest which was pretty big. The Crispy Coated Plaice Filet with Chunky Chips was just perfect! A good portion size and very tasty! A quiet and pleasant ambience for lunch. Our waitress, Alana, was lovely and attentive. Highly recommended and looking forward to my next visit!

Having been here twice in 2021 and 2020 and having had exceptional experiences we were hesitant about returning after the closure and reopening of the Curlew for our 10th wedding anniversary. We needn’t have been. Exceptional food, great service. Will return

This was our first visit to the Curlew. The food was fantastic and very good value for money. The ambiance is great, and the service was very friendly and efficient. A great menu, reasonably priced, with a good range of wines, again all very sensibly priced. This was one of the nicest meals we have had in a very long time. Try it - you won't be disappointed.

Lovely evening meal in a super place. I would highly recommend you visit as the food is excellent and the staff very helpful and not “In hiding” as some places can be. Give it a go or you are missing a treat.
