Have eaten here many times and the food and friendly service is always spot on. Definitely recommend the Cross House to anybody thinking of paying a visit.

If you haven’t been, go, never ever had a bad experience. My five stars for all questions answers my feelings. It’s our go to pub by ourselves, with family & friends. AMAZING XXXX

This has been our “go to” pub for good food every since it reopened after new ownership having been beautifully renovated This time our experience was nowhere near as good as previously - Food was average at best & not worth the money Not sure if chef has change but some of our food was actually dreadful eg Dry over-cooked mackerel (tiny portion for £12), overcooked chicken in salad Really disappointing - we won’t be back in a hurry

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, cooked to perfection (beef medium rare) with lots of delicious veg. Service very friendly and professional. The setting is very picturesque. Nice to see some English wines on the wine list. Looking forward already to our next meal!

The food was good. The main dish in particular was very good. The beer wasn’t the best as it would appear to have been the end of the barrel. It was very noisy due to a table of twelve near where we sat. The service from the staff was excellent.
