Located in the historic town of Kenilworth in the heart of Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winning pub that combines Michelin-starred food with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Under the guidance of chef-director Adam Bennett, we have held a Michelin star for over nine years and are proud to boast three AA Rosettes. We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.

The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service.

Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.

Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.

We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

BY TRAIN The closest station to The Cross is Kenilworth Station, only one mile away (about a five-minute drive). Great place. Love it and will be back. The food was great and the staff wonderful. A little quiet on Wednesday, so the vibe was a little flat. But I know on a Friday and Saturday that is not the case.

Outstanding service from arrival to leaving. Food was exceptional. The background music was a little too quiet, barely audible. I could hear conversations of the people around me and found myself whispering to my partner. However, this has not deterred me from wanting to return.

We visited for Sunday Lunch, the food was excellent, the beef was melt in the mouth tender and the service was excellent. The staff were pleasant and the service was measured, ie: you were not rushed from course to course. A really pleasant experience for a special occasion.

My party was thrilled by the quality of the food, in terms of originality, complexity of flavours and beautiful presentation. We've never sampled food of this standard before, and it was a delight for us all.
