Located in the historic town of Kenilworth in the heart of Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winning pub that combines Michelin-starred food with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Under the guidance of chef-director Adam Bennett, we have held a Michelin star for over nine years and are proud to boast three AA Rosettes. We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.

The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service.

Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.

Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.

We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

BY TRAIN The closest station to The Cross is Kenilworth Station, only one mile away (about a five-minute drive). The Cross is a lovely venue, quiet and limited tables, but sufficiently busy to generate a dining ambience. We attended on a Sunday for lunch when there were three choices of menu (a la Carte, Tasting and Sunday Roast). We chose off the a la carte menu and all courses were truly superb Michelin quality food, served well with a good ambience from the staff. Whilst the price tag was expectedly high I would wholly recommend this experience.

Perfect lovely lunch and extra special Birthday plate for our Daughter lovely touch loved being in the Pass side to see the Chef cook as a very very keen Home cook. It made my day to see the kitchen would love to have been in the kitchen 👩‍🍳

Beautifully presented and delicious food. We went for the lunch menu. Limited choice but relatively good value. The flavours were amazing.

Friendly welcome, relaxed drink while settling in and ordering. Knowledgeable team pitched the interaction at a perfect level. Excellent guidance in choosing meal and wine. The food was exceptional. Venue immediately promoted to our favourite few restaurants, thank you.

A lovely setting and good food and a very tasty wine list with some blockbusters. We thoroughly enjoyed the a la carte menu and the chocolate souffle was very good, if a little theatrical in its service. The amuse bouche were first rate taste bombs- thank you. It was well priced for a Michelin-star restaurant, albeit one in the countryside.
