Located in the historic town of Kenilworth in the heart of Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winning pub that combines Michelin-starred food with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Under the guidance of chef-director Adam Bennett, we have held a Michelin star for over nine years and are proud to boast three AA Rosettes. We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.

The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service.

Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.

Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.

We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

BY TRAIN The closest station to The Cross is Kenilworth Station, only one mile away (about a five-minute drive). Visited the Cross with neighbours as a treat to celebrate Christmas. Superb food and atmosphere. This place keeps on delivering year on year and never disappoints. If you’re looking for somewhere special that serves beautifully cooked food in a lovely atmosphere then look no further. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

This was our first visit, to celebrate a special birthday. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was faultless. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was prompt, courteous and discreet and we were even able to thank the chef, Adam, before leaving. It was a very special, memorable and wonderful occasion and we would highly recommend The Cross to everyone. We will definitely be back!

The Cross is a very welcoming restaurant set in the older area of Kenilworth and well worth visiting. We were warmly welcomed by staff, the building was lovely and warm on a wet and windy day and we were given the option of going straight to our table or having a drink in the bar area. The food was, as always, top quality and served with concise explanation. Table service during the meal was attentive but unobtrusive which we applaud. We felt that the drinks were slightly overpriced but, to be honest, it’s what was expected. We would thoroughly recommend The Cross for that ‘special’ occasion or indeed, just Sunday Lunch.

We went for a Christmas/Birthday celebration to the Cross at Kenilworth, we were warmly greeting by the lovely staff, we had pre-dinner drinks and a complimentary amuse-bouche, which was delicious. We ate from the Christmas set menu, every course was outstanding and beautifully presented. The staff brought a "happy birthday' plate with complimentary sweet treats for my brother. Overall, we had the best time, the best food and the loveliest of evenings.

Great find food as always. The table we had near the kitchen had terrible lighting , won’t take much to fix but some of us were under a cold white spot light and some in the dark, not as welcoming as the main restaurant area unfortunately. Love this place but sitting in the kitchen area feels like you’re on a plane sitting in economy where everyone is late is in business
